How many students receive financial aid?
According to The College Board's "Trends in College Pricing 2009" :
About two-thirds of all full-time undergraduate college students receive grant aid. In 2008-2009, aid in the form of grants and tax benefits averaged:
- $3,000 per student at two-year public colleges,
- $5,400 per student at public four-year colleges, and
- $14,400 per student at private four-year colleges.
