Mississippi Higher Education Assistance Corporation (MHEAC) is a nonprofit corporation organized on January 23, 1980, under the laws of the State of Mississippi for the exclusive purpose of acquiring student loans incurred under the Higher Education Act. MHEAC's primary source of funds for this purpose is the issuance of both tax-exempt and taxable revenue bonds. MHEAC is not an agency or instrumentality of the State of Mississippi or any agency or political subdivision thereof. |
